LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky softball team takes on its last test before the conference season, as the Wildcats travel to Terre Haute, Ind., for a doubleheader with Indiana State on Tuesday. UK (10-15) picked up a 6-3 win over Wright State in its last outing, the final game of the Kentucky Invitational on Sunday.

The Wildcats have won four of their last seven games and are just one win shy of surpassing last season’s win total of 11.

Indiana State (6-8) opened the season with two straight wins, but has gone just 4-8 since. The Sycamores posted two wins in the Kentucky Invitational this past weekend – a 4-3 win over Wright State and a 6-2 victory over Ohio. Following Tuesday’s game, the Wildcats return home for the start of the 1998 Southeastern Conference season, playing host to conference foes Alabama and Auburn this weekend.
