The University of Kentucky men’s tennis team will travel to Gainsville to compete against the Florida Gators Sunday. Florida’s overall record is 10-8 (4-4) and is currently ranked 21st in the nation.

The 15th-ranked Wildcats (15-7, 3-4) smashed Vanderbilt (8-8, 1-6), 6-1, at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center last Wednesday. Its overall home record for the season is 6-2.

Leading the Wildcats is senior Cedric Kauffmann who is sporting a 29-12 season record and is ranked eighth in the nation. Kauffmann, in his third straight win, defeated Vandy’s Kyle Porter 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles spot last Wednesday on home courts and he knocked off seventh-ranked Mississippi’s Sebastien DeChaunac 7-6, 5-7, 6-3 Monday in Oxford, Miss. Kentucky’s next home match will be against Tennessee on April 8 at 4:30 p.m.
