NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Kentucky fell 2-1 to Belmont in overtime on Sunday.

UK struck early, as Ilkka Jantti found the net in the eighth minute to give UK a 1-0 lead. Belmont would rally, however, as Chris Van Atta evened the score in the 75th minute. The game headed to overtime and Jason Taylor’s shot in the 95th minute gave Belmont the win. With the loss, UK falls to 7-7, 3-1 MAC, while Belmont improves to 4-8.

The Cats return to action on Wednesday, when No. 2 Indiana travels to the UK Soccer Complex to battle the Wildcats. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
