Kentucky (3-6) begins the home portion of its schedule on Tuesday against Lincoln Memorial (7-2) at 3 p.m. at Cliff Hagan Field on the UK campus. UK was swept by Long Beach State in a three-game series last weekend, ending a nine-game season-opening road trip. Lincoln Memorial is coming off a 11-9 win over Southern Tech on Sunday. Senior Cameron Andrews leads the Railspitters with a .438 batting average, including eight RBIs. Derek Bickham is hitting .433 with one home run and 12 RBIs. Brad Reeder (2-0), a sophomore from Greenup, Ky., will take the mound for Lincoln Memorial with a 1.69 E.R.A. The Wildcats are 13-6 in home-openers under head coach Keith Madison, including a 13-3 mark against non-conference foes in their home debut. This will be the third meeting between the two teams with UK owning a 2-0 advantage. UK won 5-4 in the teamis last meeting in 1992. Senior David Cheatle leads the Wildcats with a .444 batting average, including six multi-hit games. Catcher Josh Loggins and left-fielder Andy Bendix are both hitting .333. Loggins has provided the Wildcats with power with two home runs and seven RBIs. LHP Tim Rowland (0-0, 7.20) is scheduled to start for Kentucky.
