ANN ARBOR, Mich. – -UK’s Jeremy Langley tied for fourth place in Michigan’sWolverine Invitational, which finished play Sunday.
Langley, a junior who fired a 137 after two rounds on Saturday, scored a72 in the third and final round of play. His overall score, a career besttournament, was a 209. Top place individual was Minnesota’s James McLeanwho fired a 204.
The Wildcats finished in ninth place out of 18 teams with a total score of877 after three rounds.
This is the last regular season event for seniors and four-year lettermenMike Cassity and Ryan Loghry. This season, Cassity has competed in nine,out of ten, tournaments; Loghry has played in eight.
The Michigan course is a par 71 and plays to 6,700 yards. The 18-teamfield, which includes all 11 Big Ten teams, features Eastern Michigan,Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kent State, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Miami(Ohio), Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State,Penn State, Purdue, Toledo and Wisconsin.
