ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of Kentucky softball team dropped a 6-2decision to Georgia State yesterday in the final game of the Georgia StateClassic.

Leftfielder Amanda Corley led GSU (5-5) by going 3-4 at the plate, twosingles and a triple. Corley was the sparkplug who got GSU going in the topof the third by driving in the Panthers first two runs of the game. GSUwent on to take a 5-0 lead but the Wildcats (6-9) were able to answer witha run of their own in the bottom of the third.

Angie Buckem picked up the win while Keary Camunas took the loss movingher record to 3-5 on the season.

For the weekend, UK finished the GSU Classic with two wins and two losses.UK travels to Mufreesboro, Tenn. on Tuesday for a scheduled double header(7:00 / 9:00 pm) with Middle Tennessee State.

The Wildcats will open their home season next weekend when they host thethird annual Kentucky Invitational Tournament, March 6-7, at the UKSoccer-Softball Complex.
