PARRISH, Fla. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team shot a 322 during the final round of the River Wilderness Invitational to finish in ninth place, Tuesday.

Lady Kat Jenny Dugan led the way for UK with her 17th place finish. Dugan fired a 79 to finish 14 strokes off the pace set by individual champion Michelle Hatfield of Indiana.

Behind Hatfield, Indiana surged to the top of the leader board in the final round overtaking Mississippi to finish six strokes ahead in the team competition.

Dugan’s finish was the lone top-20 performance for the Lady Kats. Other UK scores include Heather Kraus, 26th place showing of 238, Julie Palmer’s 40th place finish of 242, Katy Loy,s 60th place performance of 251 and Jenny Throgmorton’s 65th placing of 258. UK will see its next action Friday when the Lady Kats tee off at the Bryan Cup Invitational in Greensboro, N.C.
