The University of Kentucky gymnastics team will travel to Charleston, W.V. on Saturday, Feb. 6 to participate in the Governer’s Cup hosted by West Virginia.

The GymKats (2-2, 0-2) will take on Ohio State, West Virginia and Rutgers in the quad meet beginning at 7 p.m.. This marks the first time UK has participated in a quad meet this year.

Last weekend the Kats defeated North Carolina State and George Washington to record their first two wins of the season. Junior Krissy Hoeferlin won the all-around competition with a score of 39.225. Mila Chitwood, another UK junior, won the floor exercise competition with a score of 9.900. These were season-highs for both gymnasts.

The GymKats return home on Friday, Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m., when they face Michigan in Memorial Coliseum.
