The University of Kentucky volleyball team (12-5, 3-1 SEC) will attempt to record its fourth conference win Friday when the Wildcats travel to Gainesville to face the No. 9 Florida Gators (13-2, 4-0 SEC).

The Wildcats are currently riding a two-match winning streak after defeating Mississippi State and Ole Miss by identical scores of 3-1. The Gators, who are a perfect 7-0 at home this season, currently own a five-match winning streak and have not lost since Sept. 19, when they fell to No. 3 Nebraska.

“Florida has a great environment for volleyball,” UK coach Jona Braden said. “They are an excellent team that has dominated the SEC. A chance to play in that type of atmosphere will be a great test for us.”

This marks the 24th meeting between Kentucky and Florida, with UF holding a 16-7 advantage in the series.

The Wildcats will return home Monday, Oct. 12, to face the USA “A” Team. The exhibition match will begin at 7 p.m. in UK’s Memorial Coliseum.
