The University of Kentucky rifle team defeated Rose Hulman 6157-5454 in its final regular season match on Sunday, Feb.7.

The Wildcats shot 1537 in air rifle competition and a 4620 in smallbore. Rose Hulman posted a 1346 in air rifle and fired a 4108 in smallbore. Junior Jennifer Harrison shot a personal best 390 in air rifle competition tying UK senior Mary Elsass for the first place in air rifle competition. Elsass also finished first in smallbore with an 1168.

“The team worked very hard this weekend,” UK Coach Harry Mullins said. “We had some really good performances this weekend. With the right attitude in practice this week, we should so well when we head to Murray State.” The Cats return to action on Sat. Feb 13, when they travel to Murray State for the NCAA sectionals.
