LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 20th-ranked University of Kentucky womens tennis team returns tothe court on Sunday, April 18, to battle the Auburn Tigers at the Hilary J.Boone Tennis Center in UKs regular-season finale.
The match will mark the last home appearance for UK seniors KellyBrown,Massoumeh Emami and Christy Sigurski. All three have been four-yearletterwinners for UK and have propelled the Cats to as high as No. 18 thisyearin the national rankings, up from No. 56 just two years ago.The Wildcats (12-8, 5-5 SEC) can lock up a sixth-place conference finishwith awin, their highest finish since 1994. Standing in UKs way will be the Tigers(10-9, 2-8 SEC), ranked 39th nationally.
Kentucky and Auburn are both coming off Friday losses, as the Catsdropped a narrow 5-4 loss to No. 12 Vanderbilt, and Auburn fell 7-2 to No. 8Ole Miss.
The match is set to start at noon. Admission is free.
