CINCINNATI, Ohio – The University of Kentucky men’s soccer team (0-1) opened its season with a 4-0 loss to the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Jamal Frazier opened the scoring for UC in the 29th minute. The Wildcats held the Bearcats scoreless for the remainder of the half, but UC’s Myron Vaughn stuck back a rebound to give UC a 2-0 lead just two minutes into the second half.
Issiah Davis and Kyle Meador also added second-half goals for UC (1-0). Kentucky next sees action on Friday, when it travels to Los Angeles, Calif., for the Fila Classic, where the Cats will take on Cal-State Fullerton. Game time is set for 10:30 p.m.
