LEXINGTON, Ky. — Slovenian women’s tennis star Ajda Klevisar has signed with the University of Kentucky, head coach Mark Guilbeau announced Wednesday.

Klevisar, a sophomore transfer from the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, is expected to make an immediate impact for the Wildcats. She was the national runner-up in doubles competition and was ranked No. 5 in singles in her native Slovenia.

“Slovenia may have the strongest junior tennis competition in the world. I am extremely excited to have Ajda join us. Her work ethic is amazing. Her leadership and talent will be a great boost to our team,” Coach Guilbeau said.
