Three members of the University of Kentucky gymnastics team were recently named Academic All-Americans by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches for Women. Beth Cluxton, who graduated in May of 1998, received her fourth consecutive Academic All-America award. Other recipients from the squad are juniors Krissy Hoeferlin and Mila Chitwood.

“Its outstanding for our program to have three girls with this kind of academic achievement,” Coach Leah Little said. “Im very proud to have academic success on our team. Its very important to have the total package with both athletic and academic accomplishments.”

Cluxton, Hoeferlin and Chitwood join 16 previous Kentucky gymnasts to earn the Academic All-America award, bringing the total recipient list to 19 honorees since 1989.
