University of Kentucky men’s tennis assistant coach Ford Lankford has beenpromoted to associate coach.

Lankford has been a UK assistant coach for the past two years, and heserved previously as a volunteer assistant coach with the women’s teamafter a successful career as a member of the UK tennis team from 1993-95.

“Ford has been a key component in our re-emergence as a national power,”UK head coach Dennis Emery said. “He does so much more than a normalassistant coach does. This promotion reflects Ford’s contributions.”
