The University of Kentucky Lady Kat golf team is in eighth place after tworounds of the Green Wave Women’s Golf Classic. Jenny Dugan is in 13thplace after shooting a 3-over-par 76 and a 5-over-par 78 Monday in NewOrleans.
Jenny Throgmorton came off a disappointing finish at the Bryan NationalCollegiate Championship in Greensboro, N.C., and finished the first day ofthe Green Wave tournament in 26th place. She shot a 9-over-par 82 and a5-over-par 77 in the first two rounds of the tournament.
Towa Okiyama hit a two-round total of 161, a 9-over-par 82 and a7-over-par 79, to place her in 30th after the first day. Kristen Pepe andChanda Day are both tied for 33rd place. The pair both shot matching7-over-par 79s and 10-over-par 83s in the first two rounds of the tournament.
The Lady Kats will finish the tournament on Tuesday with a shotgun startat 8 a.m.
