Three members of the University of Kentucky men’s soccer team have been selected to the 1998 All-Mid-American Conference soccer team. Lee Baker, a junior from Spring, Texas, was a first-team selection, while sophomore Giovanni Fernandes from Criciuma, Brazil, and freshman Ilkka Jantti from Lahti, Finland, were chosen for the second team. The three Cats were selected to the 22-member team based on their play in the 1998 regular season.

In addition, UK’s Jantti was chosen as MAC Newcomer of the Year. In four years of MAC competition, UK has had 14 All-MAC selections.
