Wildcats Coaches Stage Annual Coaching Clinic: The Kentucky coaching staff is playing host to the annual UK Football Coaching Clinic this weekend. The clinic began at noon today and concludes with Saturday’s UK practice at 11 a.m. The teaching sessions are held in the Nutter Field House.
Wildcats coaches scheduled to speak include head coach Hal Mumme, cornerbacks coach Tim Keane, and assistant head coach/offensive line coach Guy Morriss. In addition, four visiting coaches are on the agenda: Dudley Hilton, head coach of Bourbon County, the 1997 Kentucky Class AA state champion; Milt Miller, head coach at Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Ga., a perennial power in the Georgia Class AAAA ranks; D. W. Rutledge, winner of four state championships as head coach at Judson High School in Converse, Texas; and Chuck Servino, head coach at Louisville’s Trinity High School, 1997 Class AAAA state finalist.
First Scrimmage Action Set for Saturday: Week One of 1998 Kentucky spring practice will be completed on Saturday with a practice beginning at 11 a.m. in Commonwealth Stadium. The practice will include UK’s first scrimmage action of the spring, according to Coach Hal Mumme.
As with all UK practices, the public and media are invited to attend. There are no photography or videography limitations with the Wildcats practices.
