LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team upped its record to 5-0 on Wednesday, besting the Purdue Boilermakers, 5-4, at the Boone Indoor Tennis Center on the UK campus.

Massoumeh Emami, Christy Sigurski, Kelly Brown and Shannon Stafford picked up singles wins for the Cats, and Sigurski and Stafford teamed up to claim the deciding doubles victory.

The Cats return to the courts on Friday, when they travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., for a 6 p.m. dual match with the North Carolina Tarheels.
