PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – University of Kentucky women’s tennis player Massoumeh Emami has reached the main draw at the All-American Championships.

Emami defeated 58th-ranked Shannon Duffy of Northwestern, 6-3, 6-0, in the final round of qualification.

In her run at the Championships, Emami has upset three top-75 players.

“Massoumeh is playing outstanding tennis right now,” Coach Mark Guilbeau said. “She is truly at the top of her game.”

Emami will take the court on Thursday for the first of her main draw matches.
