ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Kentucky volleyball teammoved its record to 15-10 on the year and 6-6 in the SEC on Friday night, afterfalling to Georgia in three games, 0-15, 13-15, 8-15.

Kentucky struggledearly, getting blanked 0-15 in the first set and posting a -.222 team hittingpercentage. The game one shutout marked the first of the season for UK. Theoffensive woes continued for the Wildcats in game two. Despite an early 11-7lead, including a 6-0 run, the Lady Bulldogs battled back to take the second set15-13. UGA never trailed in game three and took the final set easily, 8-15.

The Wildcats were led by senior Jenny Muzzey, with eight kills and four blockassists on the night. Freshman setter Whitney Sample posted 25 assists, two digsand two service aces, while junior Jaclyn Homan tallied six kills and four digsin the UK loss.

Georgia (7-13, 5-6 SEC) completed the season sweep of UK with the 3-0win.

The Lady Dawgs handed the Cats an 0-3 loss on Oct. 18, in Lexington. Junioroutside hitter Rebecca Dady led Georgia with 11 kills, five digs and a .400hitting percentage. Freshman Stacy Buerger racked up six kills and 11 digs on thenight.

The Wildcats return to action on Sunday, Nov. 8, when they travel to Columbiato face South Carolina (18-5, 6-4 SEC). Kentucky leads the series with the LadyGamecocks, 11-6, including a 3-1 victory earlier this season in Lexington. TheWildcats and Gamecocks will take the floor at 2 p.m.
