LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky junior varsity football team will conclude its five-game schedule on Sunday, Oct. 25 when the Wildcats play host to UT-Chattanooga at 2 p.m. at Commonwealth Stadium. UK (1-3) looks to snap its three-game losing streak after falling to No. 8 Georgia Military, 66-34, last week.
“It’s amazing how much better we’ve gotten, though the scores may not show it,” UK Coach Chris Hatcher said. “We’ve gotten some good looks at these guys during our season and maybe some of them will help us out with the varsity team in the future.”
This marks the second year that UK has fielded a junior varsity program. The squad is comprised primarily of walk-ons in addition to a few scholarship players.
