Lexington, Ky. – The University of Kentucky men’s and women’s golf programs will host their second Wildcat Golf Day on Wednesday, June 5 out at the University Club of Kentucky. The fundraiser will consist of a four-person team golf scramble with each group being accompanied by a UK player or coach.
All proceeds from the event will go toward the UK men’s and women’s golf programs and their use of the new indoor golf facility, which is being built out at the University Club. The 11,627-square foot practice facility will be the home of the men’s and women’s golf programs and will feature a 5,100-square foot indoor putting and chipping area, three hitting bays, locker rooms and a team lounge.
“We are excited to host our second Wildcat Golf Day out at the University Club,” Director of Golf Operations Bettie Lou Evans said. “It is a great opportunity for our student-athletes to interact and play golf with some of our loyal Big Blue supporters. We are looking forward to another wonderful day for Kentucky Golf.”
The event is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. ET with registration and lunch to follow. The start time is slated for 1:00 p.m. and will wrap up around 6:00 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will be served at the end of the day and there will be a silent auction taking place throughout the afternoon.
