LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky football junior wide receiver Demarco Robinson and senior tight end Anthony Kendrick have been named Honorable Mention Performers of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards for their impressive play in the 2013 season opener, it was announced Monday.

Robinson was named an honorable mention all-purpose performer of the week, while Kendrick earned honorable mention tight end performer of the week honors.

Robinson, who started at wide receiver for Kentucky in the season opener, had 197 all-purpose yards in the game and currently ranks first in the Southeastern Conference and second nationally with a 27.0 punt-return average. The native of Ellenwood, Ga., had five receptions in the game for 69 yards and his first career touchdown reception. Robinson also had 74 yards in kickoff returns.

Kendrick, who missed the 2012 season, returned to the field and played well in the opener with three catches for 56 yards. The native of Katy, Texas, had a career-long catch of 27 yards against the Hilltoppers. For his career, Kendrick has six catches for 79 yards.

Kentucky will return to the practice fields Monday afternoon to begin its preparation for the home opener against Miami (Ohio) on Saturday at Noon ET at Commonwealth Stadium.
