Kentucky is 19-6 overall, 9-3 in the Southeastern Conference. Florida extended its win streak to 17 games and is 23-2 overall, 12-0 in league play.
Kentucky leads the series 94-35. The Wildcats lead 48-9 in Lexington.
The teams will have a rematch on March 8 in Gainesville that will conclude the regular season.
ESPN’s popular “College GameDay” show was in Lexington today for the eighth time, including the fifth-consecutive season.
Kentucky’s next outing will be Tuesday at Ole Miss. Game time is 7 p.m. EST (6 p.m. CST in Oxford) and it will be televised on ESPNU.

Kentucky started Andrew Harrison, Aaron Harrison, James Young, Julius Randle and Dakari Johnson for the fifth-consecutive game. It’s the ninth time this season UK has opened with an all-freshman lineup and UK is 8-1 in those games.
Kentucky scored the game’s first five points.
Florida responded quickly and an evenly played first half saw seven ties and six lead changes.
Tied at 23, UK got an 8-1 run and took a 31-28 lead into halftime.

James Young scored UK’s first eight points of the second half and Andrew Harrison tallied the next six as the Wildcats matched their largest lead at 45-38.
Florida rallied and with the score tied at 53, went ahead for good with two foul shots from Casey Prather. UF gradually pulled away for the 69-59 win.

Kentucky ended its home win streak at 22 consecutive home wins, which was the nation’s fifth-longest active home streak.
- UK had won 13 straight SEC home contests.
- UK is now 81-3 in Rupp Arena under Coach John Calipari.
UK has held the last three opponents to three or fewer 3-pointers.

Andrew Harrison led the Wildcats with 20 points, including a perfect 8-of-8 at the foul line. It was his second 20-point game of the season.
Julius Randle tallied 13 points and 13 rebounds, which fittingly became his 13th double-double of the season.
James Young scored 19 points, including a 7-of-10 outing from the field.
