LEXINGTON, Ky. — Due to rain in the Central Kentucky area, No. 20 Kentucky’s game with Northern Kentucky on Wednesday has been cancelled and may be rescheduled at a later date, it was announced on Wednesday morning.

Kentucky (13-4) was slated to play Northern Kentucky at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Cliff Hagan Stadium, UK’s final tune-up before opening Southeastern Conference play.

UK will now return to action at Alabama – the preseason No. 21 team according to Baseball America – on Friday at 7:35 p.m. ET at Thomas-Sewell Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
