LEXINGTON, Ky. – With the commencement of the SEC Network set to launch on August 14, the Southeastern Conference, in affiliation with ESPN, announced its slate of 25 SEC women’s soccer matches that will be televised for the 2014 season on Wednesday morning, in which the University of Kentucky women’s soccer team was selected for three nationally televised games in the fall.
Kentucky will have two matches televised on the SEC Network, in addition to the program’s first match on ESPNU in three years.
UK’s first televised match of the 2014 season will be on Oct. 2 at Missouri in Columbia, Mo., and will be shown live on the SEC Network at 7 p.m. ET. The match between Kentucky and Mizzou is one of seven Thursday night telecasts in the SEC Network package this season.
The Wildcats’ Oct. 5 match, at Texas A&M will be shown live on ESPNU with a new kickoff time of noon ET.
UK’s final television appearance of the regular season will return to the SEC Network, as Kentucky will host 2013 SEC co-champions Florida at 4 p.m. ET on Oct. 19.
The SEC Network will televise all eight matches of the 2014 SEC Tournament first round, quarterfinal and semifinal matches before ESPNU takes over to broadcast the SEC Tournament championship match on Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. ET.
An additional slate of games will be announced later by the SEC and ESPN, with those select games being shown live on the SEC Digital Network platforms.
All games televised by ESPNU and the SEC Network will be available for streaming live online on WatchESPN and the WatchESPN app.
