LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky men’s soccer team will look to continue the momentum of its two-game winning streak when it hosts Xavier on Tuesday at the Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex.

The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network+ just like all of UK’s 2014 home games. Neil Price will have the call.

In addition to its two-game win streak, UK is 2-0 at home this year. The Wildcats got over .500 for the first time in 2014 with a 2-0 win over ETSU on Saturday. UK is now 3-2 this season.

The Wildcats have produced back-to-back shutouts, and three in the last four outings, including an impressive 1-0 win at No. 1 Notre Dame on Monday, Sept. 8. In the win against the Irish, freshman Stefan Stojkovic scored his first career goal with 26 seconds remaining.

UK’s current first-choice back-4 of Charlie Reymann, Jordan Wilson, Kaeilon Fox and Matt Quick has allowed just one goal while playing together in front of Callum Irving in goal this season.

Irving has allowed just two goals all year, and has a 0.41 goals-against average this season.

For his efforts shepherding UK’s back line to a pair of consecutive clean sheets, Irving earned multiple honors on Monday.

The UK captain was named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week and also earned a spot on the College Soccer News National Team of the Week.

Tuesday’s match will mark the 13th time UK and Xavier have played.  The Wildcats hold a 7-5 advantage all-time, but XU has won five of the past six including a 2-1 win in Lexington last year.

In the win over ETSU on Saturday, Kaelon Fox and Justin Laird each found the back of the net.

The Wildcats have scored a total of five goals in as many games this year, with five separate Wildcats each having scored once.

Tuesday’s match will be the second leg of a four-game home stand for the Wildcats. UK will host Furman on Friday and the Louisville on Tuesday, Sept. 23 before beginning Conference USA play with a trip to Florida Atlantic the following weekend.
