USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships Headquarters
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky women’s tennis doubles team of Nadia Ravita and Aldila Sutjiadi will compete at the 2014 United States Tennis Association (USTA)/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, Nov. 6-9 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Ravita and Sutjiadi earned a bid to the prestigious tournament after winning the doubles championship at the USTA/ITA Regional Championships on Oct. 21 in Knoxville, Tenn., UK’s first regional title since 2006.
The USTA/ITA National Indoor Championships will take place at the home of the US Open for the fifth consecutive year. Hosted by Columbia University, the event features a 32-player singles draw and a 20-team doubles draw for both men and women.
One of 20 doubles teams in the country to qualify for the annual fall tournament, Ravita and Sutjiadi are one of five doubles teams from Southeastern Conference schools.
Ravita and Sutjiadi open competition on Thursday against Columbia’s Tina Jiang and Crystal Leung at 1:00 p.m. ET. The winner advances to play the No. 1-seeded doubles pair from Clemson, Beatrice Gumulya and Jessy Rompies at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The 2014-15 Wildcats open the spring season January 13 in Hawaii, while UK hosts its first home contests of the year on Jan. 18 vs. the College of Charleston and Belmont.
Head coach Carlos Drada and the Wildcats are coming off an impressive 2013-14 campaign that saw Kentucky make its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2009. UK advanced to the NCAA Tournament’s second round and three Wildcats competed at the NCAA Individual Championships, including Ravita. Drada was named the Wilson/ITA Ohio Valley Region Coach of the Year, while assistant coach Kevin Calhoun earned Ohio Valley Region Assistant Coach of the Year honors.
