Nov. 12, 2014
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Coming off another record-setting season under head coach Tim Garrison, including a 6-1 mark at home, season tickets are now on sale for the 2015 Kentucky gymnastics season. The home slate features five contests in Memorial Coliseum, including four against Southeastern Conference foes.
Current gymnastics season ticket holders have until November 19 to renew their seats from last season. Tickets can be renewed online through your My UK Account, or over the phone by calling 800-928-CATS.
Fans may also purchase new season tickets by calling the UK Ticket Office at 800-928-CATS or online at UKAthletics.com/tickets. Reserved season tickets (sections C-G) are $15 each. General admission season tickets are also available for just $15.
In addition to admission to all five of UK’s home meets, season ticket holders will receive several exclusive benefits, highlighted by a meet-and-greet plus dinner with the team following the Blue-White Intrasquad on Nov. 22 at Memorial Coliseum.
Single meet tickets are also available now. Reserved tickets (sections C-G) are $5 each, regardless of age. General admission tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for seniors (65+) and youth (6-18), while children age five and under are admitted free of charge. UK students and faculty/staff are admitted free with a valid UK student/employee ID. General admission group tickets (20 or more individuals) are $4 for adults and $1 for youth/seniors, if purchased in advance.
UK’s challenging 2015 home schedule features five home meets, highlighted by an Excite Night matchup vs. LSU and Arizona State on Jan. 16. In addition to LSU, who finished third nationally last season, UK welcomes the reigning SEC champions Alabama, who finished fourth at the NCAA Championships, to Memorial Coliseum in 2015. Kentucky also hosts dual meets with SEC foes Arkansas and Auburn and a Senior Night matchup with Pittsburgh and Ball State.
Kentucky’s record-tying 6-1 home record in 2014 was helped by the best home attendance for UK in more than 15 years. The Wildcats averaged 3,265 fans last season, marking the first time the Big Blue Nation eclipsed the 3,000 mark since 1998, when records became available.
The Wildcats are coming off a record-breaking 2014 season, highlighted by a program record NCAA Regional score and a return to the NCAA Championships. As UK posted its school-record 195.925 at regionals, senior Audrey Harrison won the beam title and became the first UK gymnast to advance to the NCAA Championships since 2010. Kentucky also notched a school-best 49.650 on floor in an upset win over No. 11 Auburn in the regular season.
