Kentucky is 3-0 and Kansas is 1-1.
Kentucky leads the all-time series 22-6 and has won three in a row vs. the Jayhawks.
40 points is the fewest points Kansas has scored vs. UK since the first game played between the teams, a 68-39 Kentucky win on Dec. 16, 1950.
Kentucky has won 21 of the last 23 games as The Associated Press top-ranked team.
Coach John Calipari has led three teams to a No. 1 ranking (Massachusetts, Memphis, Kentucky) and has a 65-9 record as the top-ranked coach, including 24-4 at UK.
Kentucky returns to action Friday at home against Boston. Game time is 7 p.m. and it will be televised by the Fox Sports Network.

Kentucky’s opening lineup featured the Blue platoon of Andrew Harrison, Aaron Harrison, Alex Poythress, Karl-Anthony Towns and Willie Cauley-Stein for the third consecutive game.
Leading 12-9, Kentucky put together a 12-0 run for a 24-9 lead.
After UK built its biggest lead at 35-17 with 3:06 remaining, Kansas ended the opening period with an 11-3 run and Kentucky went to intermission ahead 38-28.
All 10 Wildcats who played in the first half also scored.

Kentucky started the second half with the White platoon of Tyler Ulis, Devin Booker, Trey Lyles, Marcus Lee and Dakari Johnson.
The White platoon played the first 3:34 of the half and held Kansas scoreless while adding six points to extend the lead to 44-28.
Kansas got no closer than 15 points the rest of the way.
UK led by as many as 32 points at the final score 72-40.

Kentucky limited Kansas to 19.6 percent from the field.
UK has held all three opponents this season under 35 percent.
UK held Kansas to 12 points in the second half after limiting Buffalo to 14 in the second stanza on Sunday.
Ten Wildcats scored in the first half and 11 Cats tallied in the second half.
UK won points in the paint 30-12 and bench points 34-12.
UK had a season-high 11 blocked shots, including four each by Marcus Lee and Karl-Anthony Towns.
No Wildcat played more than 21 minutes.
Kentucky is now 41-0 under Coach Calipari when holding the opponent to 55 or fewer points.
Kansas had its largest margin of defeat (32 points), lowest field goal percentage (19.6), fewest field goals made (11) and fewest points scored (40) under Coach Bill Self.

Dakari Johnson (11 points) and Andrew Harrison (10) were the only players scoring in double figures. Harrison added a game-high four assists.
Willie Cauley-Stein claimed a game-high 10 rebounds, his second straight games in double figures.
