LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Southeastern Conference and ESPN have announced a historic television schedule that will feature Kentucky baseball on the SEC Network or SEC Network+ for 47 of its 56 regular-season games, including every home game of the 2015 season.
The Wildcats will appear on the SEC Network nine times, including twice squaring off in Cliff Hagan Stadium for the Thursday Night SEC Game of the Week. UK will also be featured on the SEC Network+ 38 times, including every SEC road game and every game played at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
In 2015, every SEC baseball game that will available on an ESPN platform (ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU) or the SEC Network/SEC Network+.
UK advanced to its eighth all-time NCAA Tournament in 2014, finishing as the runner-up in the NCAA Louisville Regional. The Wildcats are seeking their first back-to-back NCAA Tournament berths since 1949-1950 in 2015. UK’s 2014 season was highlighted by the unanimous national player of the year, first baseman/lefty AJ Reed, who had one of the best seasons in the history of college baseball in leading UK back to the NCAA Tournament.
Kentucky opens its 2015 schedule on Feb. 13 in Wilmington, N.C., for the second consecutive year. UK will face off with Ball State in its season lidlifter, with first pitch slated for 12 p.m. ET.
