FAYETTEVILLE, Ark., and BLOOMINGTON, Ind.  – Kenyattia Hackworth won her sections of the long jump as did Lou Styles in the mile to lead the Kentucky track and field teams on Friday at the Tyson Invitational hosted by Arkansas.

Hackworth jumped to the No. 8 long jump mark in the NCAA this season, 20-feet, 10¾ inches / 6.37 meters to win the open section of the long jump. Sha’Keela Saunders, who ranks No. 2 in the nation in the long jump, placed third in the invitational long jump with a mark of 21’3.5”/6.49m.

Styles, competing in the unseeded sections of the mile, won with a four-second PR time of 4:05.54, coasting toward the finish line in the final 30 meters to win his heat by six seconds.

Both Leah Nugent and Keilah Tyson advanced through prelims and semifinals and into the final of the 60-meter hurdles and 60m dash respectively.

Rebecca Famurewa threw 70’10.5″/21.60m to place third in the stacked weight throw. The mark was one centimeter short of her school-record, which ranks No. 6 in the nation.

Terence Boyd placed seventh in the Tyson Invitational open long jump with a mark of 24’2.5″/7.38m.

Nick Anderson ran 7.99 in the prelims of the 60h, but did not advance past the semifinal.
