Kentucky falls to 23-9 overall, while Tennessee improves to 27-4.
Kentucky moves to 735-495 (61.1) all-time in 41 seasons of varsity women’s basketball.
Matthew Mitchell, UK’s all-time winningest coach, is now 223-109 overall, 193-80 at UK.
- Mitchell is nw 12-8 in SEC Tournament games in his tenure.
UK is now 5-8 in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament.
Kentucky is now 31-36 in the SEC Tournament.
UK trails the all-time series with Tennessee 10-53, including 1-7 in the SEC Tournament and 0-4 under Mitchell.
- Kentucky has lost four straight to the Lady Vols.

Kentucky held Tennessee without a field goal for the first 7:30 of the game. UT hit its first of six 3’s in the first half.

The much bigger Lady Vols won the battle of the boards by just three rebounds at 41-38.
The Wildcats had 25 points off of turnovers, outscoring Tennessee by eight in that category.

Kentucky outscored Tennessee 28-20 in the paint.
UK had 12 steals, to Tennessee’s four. The 12 steals are the most for any UT opponent this season. The previous high was seven vs. Wichita State on Dec. 16, 2014 in Knoxville.

Senior guard Bria Goss led Kentucky with 16 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the floor.
- With one missed free throw, she ending her school-record streak in the second half at 32.
- Marked her 12th double-figure scoring game this season, and 70th of her career.
- Made a season-high tying two 3-pointers, moving her up to No. 9 on the all-time made 3’s list at UK with 111 in her career.
- Marked her first time leading UK in scoring this season.
- Moved up to fifth on the all-time games played list at UK with 132 in her career.
- Also moved up in the all-time scoring list to No. 16, passing Belitta Croley (1984-88) with 1,293 points.
Sophomore guard Linnae Harper came off the bench for 15 points, to go along with five rebounds and four steals.
- Marked her 19th game in double figures this season.
Senior guard Jennifer O’Neill recorded her 27th double-figure scoring game of the season, including eighth straight with 11 points.
- Grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
Sophomore guard Makayla Epps scored 10 points, her 25th game in double figures this season, including second straight.
