LEXINGTON, Ky. — The No. 14 University of Kentucky softball team’s game vs. Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday at Gertrude Hood Field in Richmond, Ky., has been postponed due to inclement weather.
Kentucky will return to action this weekend when it starts an eight-game home stretch against South Carolina, who is receiving votes in the national rankings. The series starts Friday at 6 p.m. ET before a 3 p.m. ET start Saturday and 1 p.m. ET series finale Sunday. All three games will be available through WatchESPN on the SEC Network+.
The postponed game with EKU concluded a four-game road stretch for the Wildcats that started with UK traveling to No. 3 Florida last weekend. The three-game series with Florida was the third straight top-five nationally ranked SEC opponent UK had faced. The Wildcats are the only team in the conference to play three straight series against top-five nationally ranked conference foes.
