Team Records and Series Notes

  • Kentucky rises to 14-15 overall, 6-9 in Southeastern Conference play this season, while Ole Miss falls to 11-17, 1-14.
  • Matthew Mitchell is in his 11th season as head coach at Kentucky. He is the winningest head coach in program history at 255-115.
  • Ole Miss leads the all-time series between the two programs, 22-18.
    • UK has won eight of the last 10 meetings between the two.
    • This was Kentucky’s first win in Oxford since Feb. 28, 2013.

    • UK is 7-9 with that starting-five combination.
  • UK took a 19-18 lead with four seconds left in the first quarter and never trailed again.
  • The two teams went back and forth to begin the game, but the Wildcats used an 18-2 run across the first quarter into the second quarter to extend its lead to 11 with 7:05 to go in the first half.
  • Kentucky took its largest lead of the first half into the locker room, with a 44-31 lead at halftime.
