For the second consecutive year, Kentucky defeated Tennessee in the Big Blue Crush, the annual blood donation battle between the two neighboring states in fan bases.The final score was 3,219-2,969 in favor of the Wildcat faithful as the blood supply was boosted for the holiday season. With the win, Kentucky cuts Tennessee’s lead in the 24-year series to 12-11 with one tie.The presentation of the Big Blue Crush trophy will be at the Kentucky-Tennessee football game on Saturday, Nov. 26.About KBCKentucky Blood Center (KBC), the largest FDA regulated blood bank in Kentucky, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring a safe, adequate blood supply for patients at nearly 70 Kentucky hospitals and clinics in more than 60 counties.
