BATON ROUGE, La. – The University of Kentucky’s Johan Grunditz won the singles consolation title at the LSU Showcase on Sunday.

Grunditz, who lost in the second round of the main draw, defeated Felix Hutt, 6-1, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (2), to advance to the title match of the consolation draw. Grunditz coasted in the final, dominating Sebastian Locatelli, 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles action, the Wildcat duo of Grunditz and Gustav Pousette advanced to the semifinals before falling to the No. 1-ranked team of Matt Guvaux and Fabio Tintorri, 8-3.
