LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky men’s golf team returns to the links on Monday when the Cats travel to Cincinnati for the Xavier Invitational.
The Wildcats have been impressive this fall, garnering a second-place finish at the Jack Moyers Cup in Iowa City and a fourth-place finish at the Legends Invitational in Franklin, Ind.
Senior Jeremy Langley leads the Cats with a 71.5 stroke average for six rounds. Langley claimed co-medalist honors at the Jack Moyers Cup and placed fifth at the Legends Invitational.
The 19-team tournament will be played at the Kings Island Resort. Other teams competing in the 54-hole event are Akron, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Dayton, Eastern Michigan, Georgetown, Indiana, Iowa, Louisville, Northern Kentucky, Marshall, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Morehead, Temple, Wright State and Xavier.
Teams will play 36 holes on Monday with the final 18 to be played Tuesday.
