LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the second year in a row, the SEC Network is turning over its control room to the 14 Southeastern Conference schools as a part of its two-week SEC Takeover. UK Athletics’ day of 24-hour programming will take place July 20.
Starting at midnight on July 20, the SEC Network will feature classic games from UK’s men’s basketball, football and women’s basketball programs, a special with former Kentucky football star and current NFL linebacker Wesley Woodyard, Big Blue Review – a comprehensive look at all 22 sports at UK – and more.
SEC schools are heavily involved in producing the more than 1,000 SEC Network + events streamed annually on WatchESPN, SECNetwork.com and the ESPN app. Every campus has at least one control room, fibered sports facilities and a bureau cam room. This year, more than 350 students gained national television experience contributing to those on-campus productions.
