The University of Kentucky men’s and women’s cross country teams head to the SEC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31.
Freshman Jennifer Kehoe, the top women’s runner for UK, will attempt to capture her fourth top-ten finish of the season. Kehoe was first at the EKU Invitational on Sept. 5; sixth at the Old Timer’s Classic on Sept 19; and third at the Furman Invitational on Oct. 10.
Senior Cort Neal, the top runner for the men’s team, will run after his second top-ten finish of the season. Neal captured his first at the EKU Invitational on Sept. 5.
This year’s meet is at Lambert Acres Golf Club, about 22 miles from the University of Tennessee. The Arkansas men will try and claim its 25th straight conference win, while the Florida women will attempt to win their third straight SEC title.
The women’s 5,000 meter race is slated to begin at 10 a.m., and the men’s 8,000 meter race will follow at 11 a.m.
