University of Kentucky women’s tennis players Carolina Mayorga and Jackie Spicijaric will play in the First Federal/Fighting Illini Invitational, Jan. 15-17, in Champaign, Ill..

The two Cats will battle players from the University of Louisville, New Mexico University, LSU and the University of Illinois. Mayorga, the tournament’s No. 1 seed, has a first round bye and will take the court on Friday at 12:30 p.m. Spicijaric will take on Katie McLaughlin of Louisville on Friday at 10:30 a.m.

Mayorga and Spicijaric will also compete in doubles, facing Brooke Ferney and Carla Rosenberg of Illinois on Friday at 8 p.m.
