CLEMSON, S.C.–The University of Kentucky women’s soccer team takes a break from Southeastern Conference play as the Wildcats travel to Clemson, S.C., for the SEC/ACC Challenge this weekend.

The Wildcats (3-3-2, 2-2 SEC) are coming off a 3-0 loss to fifth-ranked Florida. UK will open the Challenge against Wake Forest on Friday, Oct. 2. The Demon Deacons (5-3-1, 1-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) also lost 3-0 in their last outing against No. 3 Notre Dame. Wake is led by senior Meghan Sudders’ five goals on the season.

On Saturday, the Cats face Clemson, which claimed a 2-0 shutout victory over Florida State in its last outing. Senior Sara Burkett leads the Tigers (5-3, 3-1 ACC) with six goals. Clemson is currently ranked 12th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.
