MIAMI, Ohio — The University of Kentucky volleyball team fell to 3-2 on the season after losing to a talented squad from Miami of Ohio (5-0) Tuesday night in four games 15-6, 1-15, 8-15, 7-15.

The Wildcats were led by junior outside hitter Katie Eiserman who recorded 14 kills and seven digs on the night. Junior Jaclyn Homan posted seven kills and a .313 hitting percentage for Kentucky, while senior LaTanya Webb contributed to the offense, notching nine kills in the match.

The offense of Miami was too much for the Cats to overcome as the Redhawks had three players with 13 kills. Juniors Mindy Collins and Alissia Thompson and senior Julie Sterk led the offense and handed the Wildcats their second loss of the year.

The Wildcats will face Eastern Michigan Friday at 5 p.m. when they travel to Indianapolis, Ind. to compete in the Butler Invitational. This will mark UK coach Jona Bradens return to Butler, where she served as head coach of the Bulldogs for eight years.
