“Building a collegiate softball program from the ground up has been interesting. I feel like the outlook for our program is blossoming. We now have three recruiting classes under our belt, which has helped us to build a better program.”

“I am very excited about the upcoming season. We open up play in Texas next weekend. We’ve been blessed with very good weather conditions to practice in the last few weeks. It’s been great to get outside and get some repetitions done in the dirt with the windy conditions we will be playing in.”

“Right now we have four juniors, four sophomores and ten freshmen. We’ve also signed four freshmen for next year. Playing with a full roster and having scholarships available has definetely helped with recruiting.”

“We’ve had no problem selling our program to recruits. The Southeastern Conference is such a well-known conference with a high standard of both academic and athletic excellence. That has been a great recruiting tool, as well as the wonderful softball complex we have here.”
