INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Kentucky volleyball team (4-2) ended its two-match losing skid Friday night as they defeated Eastern Michigan (1-4) in four games 8-15, 15-5, 15-13, 15-4.

The Wildcats were led by junior middle blocker Jaclyn Homan who recorded 18 kills in the match with a .394 hitting percentage. Senior LaTanya Webb and junior Katie Eiserman also had solid performances notching 17 and 13 kills, respectively. Eiserman also recorded a match-high 13 digs for UK.

“This was a great comeback for us,” UK coach Jona Braden said. “We dug ourselves a hole and it was a great test for us to come back and win. We were making too many errors early, but the team effort kept us in the match.”

Sophomore Sara Schaub and senior Sara Arndt each had 19 kills in the losing effort for the Eagles.

The Wildcats will face Kansas Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and host Butler at 7 p.m. in the final match of the tournament.
