Men’s Tennis Finals Results

LEXINGTON, Ky. Four Wildcats won their respective singles flights of the Dr. H.H. Downing UK Fall Invitational on Sunday. UK,s Edo Bawono defeated Aracic of Murray State, 6-2, 6-3, in Flight One; Johan Hesoun rallied to overcome Michigan,s John Long, 5-7, 7-6, 6-4, in Flight Two; Ariel Gaitan came back against Michigan,s Beam, winning 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, in Flight Three; and Reven Stephens dominated Purdue,s Laith Al-Agba, 6-2, 6-1.UK,s Keith Mauriello advanced to the singles finals of Flight Seven, but was ousted by G.T. Cozad of Purdue, 6-4, 7-5, to earn a second-place finish.

In doubles play, the Wildcat duo of Bawono and Tomaz Smid won Flight One by defeating the Miami of Ohio team of Champy Halim and Scott Rutherford, 8-4.
