The University of Kentucky women’s soccer team takes a 2-1-1 record this weekend into Columbia, Mo., to compete in the Nike Tiger Invitational. The tournament runs Friday, Sept. 18, through Sunday, Sept. 20.

The Cats will face Missouri at 4 p.m. Friday after their 3-0 Southeastern Conference victory over Auburn last Sunday. All-SEC candidate Carrie Staber led UK with a goal and an assist in the win.

MU comes off a 2-0 shutout victory over Saint Louis. The Tigers (2-1-0) are led by sophomore forward Nikki Thole’s six goals on the season, with junior forward Erin Grimsley adding three goals.

UK’s next contest will be against Tulsa at 2 p.m. Sunday. In their last match, the Golden Hurricanes were defeated by Creighton, 2-1, on Sept. 12. Freshman midfielder Kara Heer leads Tulsa (3-2) with two goals and three assists on the season.
