The University of Kentucky softball team plays its final home games before starting a 10-game road trip, as the Wildcats play host to Ball State in an afternoon doubleheader at the UK Softball Stadium on Tuesday. The first game of the doubleheader is set for 2 p.m., while the second game is scheduled to start at approximately 4 p.m. Both games will be at the UK Softball Stadium located adjacent to Commonwealth Stadium on Alumni Drive.

The Wildcats (14-21, 2-6 SEC) are coming off an upset win over defending Southeastern Conference champion South Carolina this past weekend. Ball State enters Tuesday’s doubleheader with a 13-11 record and have lost three straight.

Following Tuesday’s contest, the Wildcats hit the road for 10 straight road games, including eight against SEC opponents. UK takes on Georgia in a pair of doubleheaders this weekend before travelling to Chattanooga next Wednesday. The Wildcats close out their road trip with doubleheaders at Mississippi State and Ole Miss next weekend before returning home for an April 15 meeting with the Chattanooga Lady Mocs.
