Season Ticket Holder Open House at New Training Facility Set

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Season ticket holders are invited to an open house at the newly opened Kentucky Football Training Facility on Sept. 10. The event will last from 8-11 a.m. and end in time for fans to return home to watch the Wildcats’ road game that Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Season ticket holders will be able to enjoy self-guided tours of the new headquarters of Kentucky football, with athletics department staff stationed throughout. Since the team will be in Gainesville, Fla., preparing for a showdown with Florida, fans will have access to the weight room, nutrition center, locker room, team room, practice fields and more.

The Kentucky Football Training Facility is a $45 million building that opened last month after 19 months of construction. Adjacent to both Commonwealth Stadium and Nutter Field House, the facility is one of the best of its kind in America and creates a one-stop shop for the program on the south side of campus. Covering nearly 100,000 square feet, the building was designed with significant input from Mark Stoops and his staff to ensure maximum functionality for the football program.

Only season ticket holders are invited to the open house, which comes on the heels of two similar tours of Commonwealth Stadium this summer. Current season ticket holders have already received invitations, but any fans who buy season tickets between now and Aug. 31 are welcome as well. New season ticket holders will be able to RSVP for the open house after purchasing tickets.

Season tickets are on sale now, with general public season tickets costing $280 and many coming with no corresponding K Fund donation attached. UK Athletics is also offering $210 season tickets in the North upper level, as well as the brand-new Kentucky Football Pocket Pass. The Pocket Pass includes a mobile ticket to all seven home games for $175. This unique season pass gives fans the opportunity to watch games from different viewpoints in the stadium with a different seat each game.
